Frequently Asked Questions

01. General Questions

Where is your shop?

Our mechanics are mobile!  We will come to you.  This allows us to reduce fix overhead costs and offer the lowest prices possible.  This also saves you time and money as you will not have to have to spend your time in a shop.

Do you work on transmissions?

No, we do not.  We do have a trusted referral partner that we would be happy to connect you with for most transmissions.

How are you funding this program?

Our non-profit organization is funding by individuals from many walks of life, existing customers paying it forward, corporations and church sponsorships.

What do I need to do for someone to look at my vehicle?

It is simple!  Please click here to submit your request.  Someone will call you back within the next business day.

02. Volunteer with Us

Do I need to have automotive experience to serve?

Absolutely not!  Our volunteers have an incredibly diverse portfolio of experience, majority of which does not include automotive repair skills.

What are the hours a volunteer should plan to be at a Saturday Event?

We do not have a minimum time in which we ask you to serve but find most volunteers stay a minimum of 2 hours. We are typically onsite for 7 hours from set up to break down the day of an event.

Do you have service opportunities outside of Saturday Events?

Yes!  Stewardship of funds is incredibly important to our team.  We leverage the talents of many people from website design, graphic design, social media or photography.  If you are feeling led to serve in anyway, please contact us by submitting this form!

What is our greatest need for individuals to serve?

Every position is incredibly important to creating a smooth experience for participants!  Without mechanically minded individuals, we are limited in our ability to perform maintenance in a reasonable time.  Without a grill master, we are unable to serve a hot meal. Without having individuals to be the hands and feet of Jesus, we miss the opportunity to create a loving environment.

03. Logistical Information

How do we determine where we will be hosting Saturday Events?

We seek locations that will be able to accommodate our team both inside and outside.   The parking lot must have the ability to set up 3 work areas for the mechanics.  We must have indoor access for use of the restrooms and for individuals to comfortably wait out of the elements.

Does His Helping Hands Automotive have Liability Insurance?

Yes!  Please click here to obtain a copy of our current certificate of insurance.
